Today we are going to take a look at a Vintage Action Figure by Toy Biz that has just come into stock, Marvel Superheroes Venom With Flicking Tongue.
Venom is the ultimate arch-rival of spider-man, or in fact of any marvel superhero! He's Spider-Mans arch-enemy, and has all the same powers as Spider-Man. What makes Venom really frightening is his costume. It's actually a living, alien creature that oozes onto anyone Venom hates and knocks him out - Including Spider-Man! when spidey and Venom fight, its anyones guess who will win. so far Spidey's been the champ, but Venom keeps coming back.
Here is a brief history about Venom, Venom, or the Venom Symbiote, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics and films, usually those featuring Spider-Man. The character is a Symbiote, a sentient alien, with a gooey, almost liquid-like form that requires a host, usually human, to bond with for its survival, as with real world symbiotes, and to whom it endows enhanced powers. Now, when the Venom Symbiote bonds with a human, that new dual-life form refers to itself as Venom.
The Symbiote's first known host was Spider-Man, who eventually separated himself from the creature when he discovered its true nature, but still with great difficulty. The Symbiote went on to merge with other hosts, most notably Eddie Brock, its second and most infamous host, with whom it first became Venom and one of Spider-Man's archenemies.
Though it requires a living host in order to survive, the Venom Symbiote has been shown to be adept at fending for itself independent of a host. The Symbiote is capable of shapeshifting abilities, including the ability to form spikes or expand its size, as well as mimic the appearance of other humanoids after it has obtained a host.
So now we know a bit about the history of Venom and his abilities we take a look at the Vintage Action figure.
This action figure is dated 1992 from the Marvel Superheros collection which also includes in this series the follow heroes and villains, Spiderman, The Silver Surfer, Venom, Deathlock, Mr Fantastic, The Thing, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and Annihilus. all of these figures can be seen on the back of the MOC Venom Figure.
I pepersonally love these classics from Toy Biz, the cards themselves are excellent and move along the comic book theme very nicely, the colours are bright and the images are right on point with the comics.
Overal I would give this figure a 9/10 as it is a very detailed figure in size and shape for the character Venom and portrays the comic book version excellently.
Thanks for reading!
